BuildingOS, a product of Lucid Design Group, joined Acuity Brands in 2018. Acuity Brands’ decision to integrate BuildingOS stems from a strategic vision to offer a unified building solution to our customers. With a longstanding commitment to building and lighting technologies, Acuity saw an opportunity to merge their hardware expertise with BuildingOS’s advanced software capabilities. This union allows us to deliver comprehensive, cutting-edge solutions that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and performance across diverse building environments.
About Atrius® Energy
Today, BuildingOS is recognized as Atrius Energy and Atrius Sustainability. The product was bifurcated because even though the needs of energy and sustainability audiences are different, our platform could cater to both personas.
The software has evolved significantly, driven by a deeper understanding of user needs, and now includes recent enhancements such as visually intuitive dashboards, automated reporting and compliance features, and our new Atrius® Sustainability Starter carbon accounting platform. Atrius has become a pivotal tool for both energy managers and sustainability professionals alike who share a common goal of conserving energy and optimizing resource use.
Looking ahead, Atrius, a brand within Acuity’s Intelligent Spaces Group, remains committed to advancing these products. Future plans include continued enhancement of existing hardware capabilities and the development of new applications, all aimed at delivering a comprehensive solution for modern building management needs.
