Same mapping solution used by some of the top airports including, DFW, AUS and LHR, will help attendees navigate the biggest aviation technology conference in the world
OAKLAND, CA – September 29, 2022 – Atrius®, the leading indoor map provider for the world’s largest airlines and airports, announced today that it is the official map solution partner for the 2022 World Aviation Festival (WAF), the globe’s largest aviation technology conference and exhibition. At this year’s WAF, held at the RAI Exhibition Centre Amsterdam in the Netherlands Oct. 4-6, attendees will have access to all the information needed to conveniently navigate the RAI Exhibition Centre’s 22 conference rooms, 11 multi-functional halls and 112,000 square meters of total floor space.
Atrius partners with eight of the top 10 airports and six of the top 10 airlines in North America to provide critical wayfinding services to passengers, including American Airlines, United Airlines, Heathrow Airport, and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Now, the Atrius mapping solution will help WAF attendees find everything they need at the conference – events, sponsor booths, concessions, restrooms, exits and more – all easily accessible on the screen of their choice with dynamic routing options. Location-based searches show live walk times and suggest the most accessible and direct routes while also highlighting event activities of interest along the way.
“The complexity of having 5,000 attendees traveling from all over the world, 400 speakers and a multitude of on-site activities requires the intuitive, real-time indoor mapping expertise that only Atrius provides,” said Martyn McMurray, Commercial Director, Aviation/Travel for WAF organizer, Terrapinn. “As the leader in location aware solutions for the aviation industry, it makes sense that we would partner with Atrius for the personalized mapping solutions an event this size demands.”
Access to the event map will be prominently displayed at registration desks and throughout the conference on QR codes and signage (digital and temporary). The map will also be featured on the WAF website, in the event mobile app, and in social campaigns. Attendees will receive push notifications from the event app with contextual guidance to key events and routing options. Atrius is also providing a custom map of the international Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) for attendees’ use. “Atrius is honored to be the official map provider for the 2022 World Aviation Festival,” said Tara Biondolillo, Director of Strategic Accounts, Aviation and Entertainment, Atrius. “We have a proven track record of delivering the best-in-class indoor wayfinding experience, regardless of industry. The same tools used for discovery and personal navigation in the busiest airports, most popular resorts and leading college campuses, will be in the hands of those exploring the dynamic spaces within the WAF.”
